Kuba Freter is a Cologne-based photographer and co-owner of the gallery Definition of Done, where his second solo exhibition, “Dreamers”, was showcased. This image was part of the exhibition and was captured during the filming of “Wrooklyn Zoo”, a Polish feature film where Kuba worked as the behind-the-scenes photographer.

Members of Kuba’s crew in Breslau were not only actors in the film but had built a bowl long before in a club run by one of his friends. Though the bowl was eventually torn down, it was rebuilt specifically for the film. In a key scene, a skate session took place there, and Kuba took this shot in the process.

His photography aims to capture raw emotions, and in this image, he translates the energy of the session into a dreamlike moment, making the boards appear as if they are floating on their own.

The print is limited to 100, hand-printed by Kuba himself on A5 (21×14,8 cm) Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta 315 g/m² paper with rounded edges.
